A Canadian psychologist named Stanley Coren, in his book “The Intelligence of Dogs”, tried to classify dogs according to their degree of intelligence through 3 main guiding lines: situation adaptive intelligence, working intelligence and instinctive intelligence. We find at the first position of the classification the Border Collie, it is finally little surprising considering its performances in Obedience and Agility competitions. Finally, we find at the last place the Afghan Greyhound. For our classification we retained the 10 first most intelligent dogs among the 132 classified.
