16. Ears and Tails – Floppy or Pointy?
Dogs are pretty confusing to their owners, but there is a science to their actions. They have the ability to assess each situation and then respond accordingly. For example, they can use their eyes, ears, voice, pawing, or licking to signal that they are happy, sad, mad, or scared.
If a dog’s ears point up and their tail goes over their head, that usually means they are excited about something. If their ears are pointed backward and their tail is down, that usually means they are relaxed. Sometimes, dogs might have their ears pointed forward and their tail pointed upwards. This usually means they are curious about something stimulating one of their senses.
